The hybrid battery in my 2011 Toyota Prius was dying. Performance was dismal, even for a Prius. Worst of all was that the gas mileage wasn’t any better than a non-hybrid. When my wiring harness was chewed by field mice, a new harness was not available anywhere, nationwide! My insurance wanted to "Total" my classic 2000 model Honda S2000 with only 71k miles! Chip... assured me that they could solder and heat shrink each and every wire, including the shielded wires! Their technician, Pat, worked tirelessly until that was accomplished. Chip kept me informed throughout the whole process. Furthermore, my engine was checked out thoroughly. New spark plugs and wiper blades were installed. My S2000 runs like new again! I have a Toyota Prius which got the red triangle of death and wouldn't drive. I called Import Authority to see if they worked on Prii and this issue. They said yes and asked if I needed towing... services, which I did not. They said the car could sit with them and they'd try to squeeze it in before it'd actual allotted appointment which, was Jan 23 if I recall correctly. I got my car to them by the 13th and I got it back January 19th. Thankfully no issues and they gave me some tips on how to keep my Prius happy. Unfortunately we had to bring the car back because the windows no longer moved automatically and the clock kept changing times. We knew that the car just needed a charge more so they said to bring it back and they double check the battery. I left it again with them and shortly after, they called back and asked who replaced the 12V battery. It was the Toyota dealership in town. They said they missed it not being fully connected and everything was good! Got my car back the next day and everything has been running smoothly and normally. It was about $105 for them to run the tests and check out my car, plus reconnecting the battery. I'll definitely be back for future maintenance and recommend fellow Toyota hybrid owners to check them out!read more

I was referred by a friend to Import Authority after I needed a part replaced and was also time for an oil change. Dropped it off at 8am, they called a few hours later to give an update on what they... found thus far and was done a few hours later. My car runs much better and the price for an oil change is extremely reasonable compared to others around town that try and up sell you on everything. Great people.read more
Great service, great price. Honest employees that answer the phone, answer your questions and are incredibly knowledgable. Final cost was $1000 less than dealer quoted to replace hybrid battery... on my 2008 Prius. And they used a new OEM battery! With 270K on the original battery I'm very attached to this vehicle. Took my van in to have an oil change. They noticed that my wiper blades were worn and coming apart, so I had them replaced. When replacing them, they also noticed that a small piece of (useless) trim... was damaging my wiper blades, so they removed that. Very happy!read more

First Time Customer - Very PleasedWas looking for a new repair shop to service my Toyota Prius, now that it’s off warranty and the dealership is so expensive, slow, and basically always trying to... pressure folks to spend more money - upsell additional services. A coworker of mine asked some of her friends, checking to see if anyone had a repair shop they’d recommend. A few different friends recommended a shop I hadn’t heard before - Import Authority. Deciding to give you guys a try, I made a service appointment for my Prius. As it turns out, what I worried would likely be an expensive repair, was actually something easy to resolve. Your phone call letting me know the good news was like a breath of fresh air. No attempts to fix something that wasn’t broken. No attempts to sell me additional services I didn’t ask for or need. No extra charges or fees. Just an honest explanation of what was wrong and how it was corrected. Then, I held my breath while waiting for the final cost… what? That’s it? I was very surprised, and relieved that the charges were fair and reasonable - the opposite of what occurs at the dealership. They are a very reasonable and competent crew. Import Authority provides shuttle service, unlike the nearby Honda dealership. I recommend them highly.
The starter went out on our 2005 Carolla. The mechanic, Lou, did a great job, replaced the starter plus went above and beyond, checked the air conditioning vents. Cleaned them out , removed trash,... etc and the filters. Did a great job. While walking with husbands walker, the wheel fell off. The guys took the walker and reattached the wheel until we can get a new wheel. Great company, friendly and caring.read more

I've used them for routine maintenance, major repair work and everything in between.They are... friendly, trustworthy and reliable. Their prices are fair and they always provide a detailed estimate for the work. I have always been pleased with their work.Today, they exceeded my expectations yet again. My newly licensed teenager got into a very minor fender bender. My husband and I suspected the damage was just cosmetic and we didn't want to take it to a body shop if we didn't really need to do so. I called Import Authority to get some advice. Clinton had us bring the car by this morning so they could put in up on the lift and check everything out. Fortunately nothing important was damaged, just a few cracks in the plastic grill. We all decided that driving around with a cracked grill might be good punishment for our teen. 😁 And... they didn't even charge us today. We would have happily paid for the peace-of-mind they provided, but they would take a cent. Great prople, great service!read more

I scheduled a routine maintenance service check on my 2014 Lexus GX460. I dropped the car off for service and they were so friendly and welcoming. I was notified a few hours later that my SUV was... ready and they explained to me that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my SUV and that it was in good shape after they performed maintenance. When I went to pick it up the service bill was only $49 and some change. I am so grateful to this company for being honest, very timely and committed to treating their customers fair.read more

I didn’t think an honest mechanic existed anymore, but the team at Import Authority have renewed my spirit. Clint was amazing at keeping me in the loop during the entire process. He even sent a text... message with pictures of the completed work! The issue with my vehicle needed additional work, and Clint did as much to resolve my problem as possible, and now my 1999 Lexus is driving like new! I was quoted $275 for the service and….I almost fainted when the final cost came in at $271!!! When was the last time a mechanic’s actual cost came in UNDER the quote? And with perfect work! Have heard good references for this shop for years and finally dropped my car with them for an A/C repair. Received a better quote from Import Authority than other mechanics for a more in-depth... repair. Courteous and quick service and most importantly, it was obvious they knew the best way to make my repair without trying to tack on more than necessary on my A/C. Other shops gave me a boilerplate price from their computer without really listening to the issue, while Clint listened and suggested what was the practical fix. Thanks!read more
I've had a succession of older cars, and Import Authority has always done a great job of keeping them running, while not helping me into bankruptcy. I have a 1993 Lexus ES300, a senior citizen. I have had all repair work done at Import Authority, and they have always done an exemplary job.But I have a larger point to make that occurred to me... after my last visit which included brakes. And this says it all. When you have major work done on your car, you are not just getting your car repaired by experienced and talented people, you are literally putting your life in their hands.
